May 2008 to Present — Atria Senior Living Group, Louisville, KY
HCM 9.0, PeopleTools 8.49.10. My role in this implementation has been to facilitate core HCM data conversion from ADP EV3 and to design and implement new HCM customizations.

Data conversion
Designed and coded Application Engine data conversion programs to populate core HCM tables including the components Personal Data, Job Data, Leave Plan Enrollment and Leave Accrual Balances. These programs perform data staging, edit validations, data transformation and loading via component interfaces. The conversion processes include data mapping for new Departments, Locations, Paygroups and other elements.

Customizations
The following HCM customizations were developed using PeopleCode, Application Packages and Application Engine processes.

Developed Manager Self Service components and pages similar to View Employee Personal Info which enable a supervisor to edit / update selected data for their direct reports who do not have PeopleSoft access.

Developed a customization to the Manage Hires event and the Job component to automatically enroll / un-enroll employees in Benefits Plans based on Job data activity and stored SQL rules (client is using Base Benefits).

Developed an interface from Talent Acquisition (Recruiting) to HCM to populate licenses and certificates for new hires based on employee ID (client is not using the Profile functionality). Customized the Manage Hire interface to populate the Job component Compensation page with compensation information from employment offers.

Developed a Talent Acquisition customization to determine whether an applicant is a former employee who is eligible to be rehired.

Developed a custom security feature which controls user access to various menu items based upon Paygroup.

Developed a Benefits process which automatically generates run controls and schedules the Calculate Periodic Accrual process for all eligible Plan Types and Benefit Plans. This saves the users from having to manually run the process dozens or even hundreds of times.

Upgraded custom SQR interfaces with third-party systems to Payroll including benefits deductions and 401k deferrals.

August 2007 to April 2008 — American Electric Power, Columbus, OH
Financials 9.0, PeopleTools 8.48. As Senior Analyst/Developer I participated in this double upgrade from 8.0 to 8.9 to 9.0. My role has been to identify and document version 8 customizations to be reapplied to version 9, along with further modifications required for version 9.

General Ledger
Customized the delivered chart field edit and combination edit App Engine processes to apply custom business rules.

Projects
Reapplied customizations to version 9 which interface transactions from Payables, Receivables and several external applications into Projects. Extensive App Engine PeopleCode is used apply business rules and manage exceptions.

Upgraded many of the 8.x Application Messages within Financials to 9.0 including XSLT transformations.

October 2007 to Present — County of Ventura, Ventura, CA
HCM 8.8, PeopleTools 8.45. Designed and coded the following customizations:

Time & Labor
Developed a customized spreadsheet load to Elapesed Time using ExcelToCI for remote timesheet entry.
Developed a modification to the Elapsed Time page to allow supervisors to approve time based on location and schedules.

Payroll
Customized the Retroactive Payroll process so as to allow a mass Retro to be separated from regular on-cycle retros and thus provide additional time to the Payroll department to verify and correct calculations.

Developed a customized gross-up procedure for table-driven other earnings based on special accumulators.

Provided SQL performance tuning and production support for SQRs, on-line PeopleCode and Applications Engine processes.

HCM 8.9, PeopleTools 8.46. As Senior Analyst/Developer I designed and created customizations as follows:

Self Service
Customized the Benefits Summary pages.
Customized the Timesheet page.
Developed an SQR comparing core Person model data to external non-PeopleSoft data based on 8.9 security.
Customized many of the Benefits Open Enrollment pages.
Developed a Mass Termination SQR based on job expected end date.

April 2005 to June 2007 — County of Ventura, Ventura, CA
HCM 8.8, PeopleTools 8.45. As Technical Lead and Senior Analyst/Developer I created customizations and provided production support. Assisted in applying patches and bundles and in reapplying customizations. Personally designed and developed the following using PeopleCode, Component Interfaces, Application Engine, SQR and other PeopleSoft technology tools:

Time & Labor
Customized the Weekly Elapsed Time page to allow entry for two weeks on the page.
Added custom fields, edits and defaults to the Weekly Elapsed Time page.
Developed a Supervisor-controlled data-entry locking process for the Weekly Elapsed Time page.
Developed a process for employees to view paid time and either agree or submit change requests.

Human Resources
Developed a batch scheduling process based on PeopleSoft Jobs for delivered and custom SQRs.
Customized mass-update pages and processes.
Customized defaults and edits for New Hire and Job Data pages.
Built Role-based security restrictions to edit certain fields on Job Data.

Benefits
Developed a leave of absence tracking bolt-on module based on Job Data.
Developed custom look-up tables and edits for medical providers in Benefits Open Enrollment.

Payroll
Supported and developed customizations for a bolt-on Retirement module with interfaces to Payroll.
Developed a gross-up modeling page for Payroll.
Developed pages to show Paid-time-off by pay period.
Developed an Employee Self Service W-2 Reissue page to deliver W-2s as pdf files to employees.
Developed a page for viewing Payroll details based on special accumulators.
Created a California Employment Department Audit SQR by pay period based on check data and special accumulators.

Security & General
Developed a series of SQRs designed to show which users have access to which components and pages via which roles and permission lists.
Developed a denormalized table containing portal and security profile data elements to be used in queries by the security admin.
Created a page to view audit trail data generated by database audit triggers on various application tables.

January 2004 to February 2005 — BAE Systems, Rancho Bernardo, CA
HCM 8.8, PeopleTools 8.43. As Technical Lead and Senior Analyst/Developer I created customizations for Time and Labor. Assisted in applying patches and bundles. Personally designed and developed the following using PeopleCode, Component Interfaces, Application Packages and other PeopleSoft technology tools:

Customized the Weekly Elapsed Time page to include: daily totals for reported and scheduled hours; pay period summary hours for reported time, scheduled time, holiday time and leave without pay.
Developed extensive PeopleCode edits for business rules and validations using Application Packages.
Developed a Pay Period Time Summary page for reporters which categorizes and summarizes reported and scheduled time by day and project.
Developed a View Time Summary page for managers showing their reporters by pay period with summarized totals for reported and scheduled time.
Developed an audit review page where managers can approve delinquently reported time and after-the-fact changes to reported time.
Upgraded custom T & L SQRs from 7.5 to 8.8.
Developed custom rules for the Time Administration process.
Applied Time and Labor bundles and tax updates.
Modified the delivered T & L data conversion Application Engine to convert 7.5 data to a reporting table.

Labor Adjustment bolt-on
Developed a bolt-on module for Time & Labor which processes time adjustments. This modules utilizes PeopleSoft Workflow technology for adjustment notifications and approvals. Workflow routing developed based on client’s business rules.

Developed an Application Engine program to load assets to the Asset interface tables.

Developed a series of Component Interfaces for integration with handheld devices. Interfaces included PO receiving (Maintain Receipts), physical cycle counting (Update Counting Event), bin-to-bin inventory transfers (EZ Transfer), inter-unit inventory transfers (Express Issue), inter-unit receiving of transfers and recording production completions (Record Completions and Scrap).
